    Autoranging multimeters are extremely handy if you can't spare a hand to change ranges on your DMM. This superb auto ranging meter is an ideal piece of test gear for laboratories, workbench, mobile technicians, installers or enthusiasts who want an excellent quality, reliable and robust DMM. A handy feature is the Wireless Electric Field (EF) for detecting mains voltage, by simply moving the meter over the path of the wiring an audible and visible alert is given. The added functionality of data acquisition is possible by using the optional Q 1082 RS232 interface.

    A unique feature found in the Q 1080 is the optically isolated RS232 port connection. Since the two devices are not connected directly the possibility of any damage to the computer as a result of a source being monitored is removed. A further benefit of such a connection is the reverse, where a spike generated by the power supply in the computer will also not cause any damage to the item being monitored. Supplied with high quality silicon rubber insulated test leads and a shock resistant rubber holster.
